With the most diverse membership of any professional women's organization, diversity is one of the American Business Women's Association's greatest strengths. The strength of that diversity works for you in ABWA's different membership options. Since each of our members is unique, with different interests and needs, ABWA offers options for every professional woman at each phase of her career.
Whether you are actively seeking to advance to the next level, or to stay current with business trends and skills; whether you dream of breaking out on your own or are running your own business; whether you are looking to stay active in retirement, are a stay-at-home mom ready to reconnect or are a full-time student looking to explode onto the job scene - ABWA has a membership option that is right for you. Regardless of which you select, your first step is to join the Association as a national member. When you pay your national ABWA membership dues, a whole world of opportunity will open up to you!
Join ABWA as a national basic member and you’ll receive all the benefits of being part of the Association, including a subscription to the award-winning Women in Business® magazine and access to professional development and networking opportunities. And if you’re a business owner or have an entrepreneurial spirit, you’ll be eligible to participate in ABWA’s Company Connection®.
As a national basic member, you may choose to become involved on the local level, too, by affiliating with an ABWA chapter in your area. Chapters offer a strong community service and philanthropic focus, with monthly meetings centering on educational, networking and fund-raising programs. Chapter members gain valuable experience and leadership skills in a supportive environment by managing meetings, working on committees, managing fund-raising projects and speaking at chapter functions.
If you have reached or are approaching the retirement phase of your career, after you join ABWA as a basic member, you can choose to affiliate with a local PrimeTime Connection® chapter. Stay active and involved through ABWA’s PrimeTime Connection, offering flexible meeting times, program topics geared toward your interests, and an opportunity to support women in the community through scholarship programs.
Are you a full-time college student? If so, you can get a jump-start on opening career doors and preparing for your entrance into the workforce by taking advantage of ABWA membership for students. The Association offers vast networking, credential building and mentoring resources, all at an affordable student price.
Annual basic membership fee: $50; annual basic student membership fee: $30. Additional local dues may apply; see local chapter for specifics.
The Express Network membership option is geared toward the busy professional who wants advanced networking and business skills training opportunities. Join ABWA as a national Express Network member and you’ll receive all the benefits of Association membership, plus exclusive Express Network member services such as an online database, message forum, networking events, professional development resources and monthly online newsletters to keep you in touch and ahead of the game. Also, if you’re a business owner or have an entrepreneurial spirit, you’ll be eligible to participate in ABWA’s Company Connection.
As a national Express Network member, you also may choose to become involved on the local level by affiliating with an ABWA Express Network in your area. Streamlined Express Network meetings usually are conducted conveniently during lunch or breakfast. Focusing on professional development, local meetings often are facilitated by industry leaders and contain a strong networking element to help you grow your own network of contacts.
